Answer:
22.02.2002 How cruel that girl is! When she told me she would dance with me in the ball if I gave her a red rose I thought she really loved me. I could find no red rose and so I was lamenting. A nightingale heard my laments and she wanted to help me. She flew around searching for a red rose to give me. But no red rose was found. Finally she pierced her heart on a thorn to bleed onto a white rose and it became red. But in the process the nightingale died for me. I was sorry, but I picked the red rose and brought it to my lover. I had hoped that she would take it and then dance with me. But she tells me that someone else has brought her jewellery and she values the jewellery more. She did not take the rose. My hopes were dashed and so I threw the red rose in the gutter where it was run over by a cart. I now know that love is ridiculous and logic is better. The poor nightingale’s sacrifice was a waste! I will never again believe any girl who professes her love to me.

NOTICE
The English Club of our School is staging the play “Rosa Parks Sat Still” by Rosa Parks. The play will be staged in the School auditorium at 3.00 p.m. on 3 July 2023.
It is an interesting story of the segregation that prevailed in America where the Whites were considered superior to the Blacks. Rosa Parks, a Black woman, sat in a bus while some White passengers were standing. The conductor asked her to get up and give her seat to a white passenger. But she refused and she was fined $10 for breaking the rule of the bus company. She refused to pay the fine saying that she was not guilty and the rule was illegal. Great things happened after that. That you will see on the stage.
The play is acted by our Std. VIII students. You are welcome! Come and enjoy!
