Activity – I
Read the poem carefully and answer the following questions.

Activity – II
In the story “The Champ”, Radha jumped into the current to save Aman. Neha was watching anxiously. She began to cry.
What would be her thoughts?
Answer:
Aman was caught in the current and he was being drawn towards the centre of the river. Aman was doing his best to swim against the current and reach safety. But he was failing. Realizing he was in great danger, Radha removes her shoes and jumps into the current in her salwar-kurta. The current was swift. When Neha saw Radha trying to swim against the current she became anxious and she began to cry. Neha thought both Aman and Radha would die as the current was very strong. But Radha was a good swimmer. She reaches Aman and tells him to hold on to her waist, and paddle with his legs. With great difficulty Radha brings Aman to safety. Neha is now happy that both Radha and Aman are safe.

Describe the picture given below.

In the picture we see a village market. We can see some shops where we find bunches of bananas hanging. People are buying things. We can see a lady selling fish. Another lady is selling pineapples and vegetables like pumpkin and others. One lady is selling flowers. We can see a dog lying quietly between the lady selling pine apples and the one selling flowers. A man in spectacles seems to be interested in buying a pineapple whereas his daughter seems to be keener on buying fish.

The Prince married Cinderella in the presence of all the courtiers, Cinderella’s stepmother and sisters. All the countrymen gathered in the palace to greet them. The next day, all the newspapers reported the wedding.
What would be the likely newspaper report?

The marriage of the Prince and Cinderella was a huge celebration. The entire country was in a happy mood. Cinderella in her white wedding gown and pearl necklace looked like a real princess. There was great jubilation when they came to the stage to greet the guests. There was the lighting of the candle, cake cutting and wine -toasts. The musicians played fine music and the people danced. The Prince and Cinderella also danced. There was a sumptuous party waiting for all the guests in the dining hall. People came to wish the newly married couple a happy and long married life. Even the stepmother and her two daughters who had mistreated Cinderella came to wish her happiness. They were happy that they had been forgiven by the kind Cinderella. The country had never witnessed such a great jubilation. Soon the Prince and Cinderella will go to the Dreamland for their honeymoon.
