Tilak Mehta was a thirteen-year-old boy when he initiated a start-up. He started ‘Papers N Parcels’ (PNP), a digitally managed courier service, in 2018. Inspired by the model of the Dabbawalas, it assured delivery anywhere in the city the same day the parcel was handed to the company.
The idea came to him when he urgently needed some books from the other end of the city.
He tried to get the books delivered, but the courier costs were much higher than the price of the books. This gave him the idea of providing a cheaper service.

Srikanth Bolla is an Indian industrialist and the founder Chairman of Bollant Industries. He was the first visually impaired student in Management Science at the Sloan School of Management of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Srikanth Bolla was born on 7 July 1991, in Machilipatnam, in Andhra Pradesh. His parents were uneducated. Born as the first child, he was visually impaired from birth. Bolla’s family was mainly dependent on farming. His childhood was full of struggle; there was no electricity, education was a luxury, and his family’s income was less than what was needed to survive. Since he was visually impaired, educational opportunities were also a struggle, as not many accommodated it.
Srikanth faced many challenges in his education. Trekking to a faraway school was a challenge. He was ignored by teachers and classmates. For two years he sat on the last bench, excluded from activities. He had to suffer loneliness and isolation. Then he was sent to a special school in Hyderabad. When he completed his 10th grade with over 90% marks, he wanted to study science at A.P. State Board. But he was told he could take only arts as he was impaired. He decided to sue the government. After 6 months of legal battle, he was allowed to study science at his own risk.
He worked hard with the help of a mentor. She recorded his textbooks on audio. He scored 98% in his exams. When he applied for top engineering schools like IIT, he was told he could not sit for the competitive exams because of his blindness. He then applied to top schools in the US. He was accepted into MIT, Stanford, Berkely and Carnegie Mellon. He chose MIT.
While at MIT, Srikanth began to think deeply about his future. Should he get married, settle down and work in the US? No, he wanted to solve the problems he had faced. Why should blind children be made to sit on the last bench? 10% of India’s population are disabled. Why should they be excluded from the economy? He returned to India to build a strong support system for the disabled. He established a platform, Bollant Industries together with a partner. Their aim is to find, rehabilitate, nurture and reintegrate disabled individuals into society and not separating them from it. They have supported 3000 students in education, vocational rehabilitation, sports and much more. Their company now employs 150 disabled individuals. It grosses over a million dollars in sales. But they feel they are still in the initial stages of their growth with much more to do. Srikanth got married in 2022 to Veera Swathi, after a courtship of many years. In 2024, the couple was blessed with a daughter, whom they named as Nayana, meaning eyes.
Srikanth is the director of Surge Impact Foundation, founded in September 2016. The organisation aims to enable individuals and institutions in India to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
In April 2017, Bolla was named by Forbes magazine in its list of “30 under 30″ across all of Asia, one of only three Indians on that list. Srikanth has shown that blindness is not a bondage.
