Answer:
From : kunjichirutha@gmail.com To: melanie@gmail.com Dear Melanie
I was really excited to get your mail! It made me so happy to hear from you. I’m glad you are enjoying your vacation. Mountaineering is a good activity. But it is risky as you tend to fall down. Here in Kerala it is not so popular. We love swimming.

There is a swimming pool near my house and 1 go for swimming everyday with my friends here. This is the time for the greatest festival of our State – the Onam celebrations. We have dances, songs and other local art forms in connection with this festival. Very delicious “sadya” – a sumptuous meal with different items – is the specialty of this day. Next year you should come to Kerala during this time.

I am spending time with my old friends here. They are surprised at the change in the way I speak English now.
Malanie, I really miss you. But the vacation will soon be over and then I will come back to New Jersey and we will meet again. Say Hi to your Mom and Dad for me.
Take care!
Love.

Malati : We should learn so many things so that we can live quite happily. For example, we should learn the language properly, we should learn arithmetic and we should know the history of our country and also other countries.

Moyna: I agree that we should learn the language properly. But why do we need to learn arithmetic?

Malati : Unless you leam arithmetic how can you count things and do the small calculations like additions, subtractions divisions and multiplications?

Moyna: Yes, arithmetic is important. But why do we study history?

Malati : It is history that tells us about our past and the people who lived before us. For example for many years, India was ruled by the British. Only in 1947 we got independence because of the hard work and sacrifices made by people like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru and Vallabhbhai Patel.

Answer:
The school auditorium was filled with excitement and anticipation in the evening on Wednesday, 5 January 2026. Our school – St. Mary’s School Irinjalakuda – celebrated its 25th Annual Day function. The atmosphere was festive, with the stage decked out in colourful lighLs and props, ready to showcase the different talents of the students.

The evening commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by our Principal and the Chief Guest, Mr. M.A. George, the local MLA. This was followed by a melodious prayer song performed by the school choir. The Principal then delivered the welcome address, highlighting the school’s academic and co-curricular achievements over the past year.

The cultural program was the most interesting event. Class 6 students played a big role in this. The highlight of our class’s participation was a theatrical skit titled “Guardians of the Earth.” The skit, performed entirely by 6th graders, conveyed a powerful message about environmental conservation and the importance of planting trees. It was met with thunderous applause from all spectators. It was followed by a group dance in which students from different classes participated.

Then there was the Prize Distribution ceremony. Meritorious students from the previous academic session were honoured for their excellence in academics, sports, and arts. It was a proud moment for many Class 6 students who walked up the stage to receive their certificates and medals.

The celebration was concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Head Boy, followed by the National Anthem. The Annual Day Celebration was not just a showcasing of talent, but a testament to the hard work and team spirit of the students and teachers. It was truly a day to remember.

Answer:
Homai Vyarawalla (1913-2012), famously known by her professional pseudonym Dalda 13, holds the distinction of being India’s first woman photojoumalist. Her career, which spanned over four decades from the late 1930s to the early 1970s, documented the most momentous and turbulent era of Indian history: the final days of the British Raj and the birth and infancy of the independent nation.

Vyarawalla began her career in Bombay, capturing scenes of everyday urban life. She moved to Delhi in 1942 to work for the British Information Service. Often spotted traversing the capital with her camera, impeccably dressed in a sari, she secured a unique vantage point in the male-dominated field. She credited her gender for being less intrusive, allowing her to capture remarkably candid images of her high-profile subjects.

Her prolific archive includes iconic photographs of key political figures and events, such as the first flag hoisting at the Red Fort on August 15, 1947, Mahatma Gandhi’s funeral, the departures of Lord Mountbatten, and countless portraits of her favourite subject, Jawaharlal Nehru. Her signature pseudonym, Dalda 13, was a combination of her birth year (1913), the age she met her husband (13), and the number plate of her first car (DLD 13).

Vyarawalla retired abruptly from photojournalism in 1970, citing disillusionment with the changing ethics of the profession. She was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second- highest civilian honour. Her legacy is preserved today by the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts.

Answer:
Once upon a time a cap seller was napping under a tree. He was wearing a cap on his head. His bag containing the caps for sale was kept near him. Some monkeys that were sitting on the branches of the tree saw the caps in the bag. They came down and picked a cap each and put the caps on their heads and went back to the branches. When the man got up from his nap, he found his bag was empty. When he looked up, he saw the monkeys wearing the caps. Sad and disappointed he shook his fist at the monkeys. They imitated him. He then scratched his neck.

The monkeys did the same. He realized that monkeys are imitators. He took off his own cap from his head and threw it down. The monkeys also took their caps from their heads and threw them down. The cap seller collected the caps and continued his journey. He was happy that he got back all his caps.
