Sub : Simon’s Bravery
Dear Latha,
In my last email I had written to you about Simon who joined our class recently. He was very shy and was not mingling with other students. Although I did not like him initially, we soon became friends. 1 started encouraging him to be more sociable and bold. He really changed. The other day he showed how bold he was. There is a girl in our class named Hettie. We call her Horrible Hettie. She always pushed her way to the front of the queue at lunch.

During a school trip, Simon and I were waiting for our ice-cream. Hettie marched over to the ice-cream van. “I am next”, she said in a mean vice. She pushed her way in front of us to top of the queue. Simon shouted “NO!” Hettie got such a fright that her pigtails flew up in the air. She quickly turned around and ran off. Maybe it was the first that Terrible Hettie got so frightened. Simon proved that he was a real hero.
How are things with you? Say Hi to your parents!
Yours lovingly,

Answer:
This poem is written from the point of view of a wheelchair itself! It introduces itself and shares its important role in the life of the person who uses it. The poem teaches us that a wheelchair is not a sad or limiting thing; instead, it is a great friend and a tool for freedom. The wheelchair describes how it helps its user move around, play, go to school, and explore the world. It mentions that it helps the user achieve his/her goals and dreams.

The main message is that the wheelchair helps the users focus on what they can do, not what they cannot. It shows that people with disabilities are strong, capable, and just like everyone else—they just use a helpful piece of equipment to get around. It reminds us to be respectful and friendly to all people, no matter how they move.

Today was my first day in Class 6 at the new school, and I was excited! I wore my crisp new uniform and carried my heavy new bag. When I walked into the classroom, I felt a little nervous, but everything was so bright and colourful. Our teacher, a Nun named Sr. Carmel introduced herself with a kind smile that made everyone relax instantly.

We spent the first hour playing a fun ice-breaker game where I met two new friends: Balan, who loves cricket, and Mary, who lives close to my home. We talked about our favourite subjects and looked at the amazing science charts on the walls, especially the one showing the solar system. We also received our new textbooks. They smell so exciting. Lunch time was noisy, but we shared our food. By the time school ended, my nervousness had completely disappeared. I learned so much and already feel like I belong. I am really looking forward to going back to school tomorrow.

Answer:
Once a crow got a piece of cake. She wanted to eat it after sitting comfortably on a branch of a tree nearby. She flew to the branch and sat on it comfortably keeping the piece of cake in her beaks. A fox was sitting under the tree and he was very hungry. He wanted to get the piece of cake that the crow had between her beaks.

He thought hard for a way to get the cake for himself. Suddenly he said loudly to the crow, “Oh, beautiful bird, how melodious is your song! I want to hear that song once again. Will you please sing for me?” The crow became happy at the flattery and opened her mouth to sing. The piece of cake fell down. The fox grabbed it and ate it happily and ran away. The crow realized how foolish she was to listen to the flattery and lose her piece of cake. We should not listen to flattery and become foolish.
