Answer:
Recently I visited Munnar. Munnar is a pretty place in Kerala known for growing tea. It is 130 km east of Kochi and 110 km north of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The town is not very crowded, but it is quite impressive. The sight of the mountains is breath-taking. The High Range has great hiking paths with beautiful views.
I paid a visit to the Kannan Devan Hills Tea Museum, 2 km northwest of the centre. It is a bustling place with a lot of lively activities. The highlight of the visit is a short audio-visual presentation outlining how tea was introduced to the region and how it is processed today, rounded off with a tasting session. Its shop sells various Kannan Devan products.
I then went to the Eravikulam National Park. It is here you can see the world’s rarest mountain goats, the lively, colourful, and peaceful Nilgiri tahr. They are not dangerous at all and they live their quiet life. They are fond of salty things and I found some tourists giving them salty things to eat.
Munnar was once a quiet, peaceful, green place, but now it is bustling with tourists of all kinds. It has suddenly become a colourful place with a vibrant population cashing in on the needs of the pleasure-seeking tourists.
