(We all like jokes. We are now going to read some good jokes related to humorous situations from the lives of famous persons. Benjamin Franklin, a multi-talented, world famous American, once said, “I wake up every morning at nine and grab for the morning paper. Then I look at the obituary page. If my name is not on it, I get up.”
Arthur Conan Doyle is the famous writer of detective stories. Once he went to Paris. He took a taxi at the railway station to go to the hotel. The cabman asked him, “To which hotel do you want to go, Mr. Conan Doyle?” The writer was surprised that the cabman knew his name. Doyle asked him how he knew it. The cabman replied, “The other day I read that you would probably visit this week. Then I saw that your suit was made of good English tweed.” Doyle said he was happy that the cabman was a good detective. Then the cabman said he was not exactly a good detective. Doyle asked him why he said so. The cabman said that the name of the writer was written on his luggage.
Mark Twain was a famous American writer. He was travelling to France. Once he was going by train to Dijon. He was very tired and wanted to sleep. He told the conductor to wake him up when they reached Dijon. He explained to the conductor that he was a very heavy sleeper and when somebody waked him up, he heavily protested. But he should not worry and just put him off the train at Dijon.
