Even younger little Fyokla has raced to the village to find the kind Terenty, a cobbler. Despite the rain, he hurries with Fyokla to free Danika. Then they walk and talk after the rain, and the children learn much from him about nature. Later that night the kind Terenty comes quietly into the barn where the orphans are sleeping and leaves them some bread for the morning. It’s a very touching human story.
